Trio's restaurant is one of the oldest restaurants in the Ghent ‘Donkersteeg’, which in relative terms is the ‘Rue des Bouchers’ of the city.
Trio's, the family restaurant open since 1947, is now in its third generation.

From the opening of the restaurant, mussels ‘Trio’s’ have been a featured favourite along with other specialties of Ghent including classics such as eel in green herb sauce, chicken waterzooi, fish waterzooi, Flemish beef stew with apple sauce, and rabbit with prunes.
Also, time honoured dishes such as cheese and shrimp croquettes, and various eel platters are the pride of the kitchen.
During game season, there are several specials of wild meat.

In short, Trio's Restaurant is a tempting fixture on the Ghent gastronomic map.

Reviews about Restaurant Trio's

  • Martin Cooper, York, UK on 8 Dec 2014

We have visited Trio's on our last two trips to Ghent, and will make a point of eating here every time we come to the city. Tasty traditional food and great hospitality.
  • Alex, Milan on 7 Dec 2014

GREAT FOOD! maybe it's not the most glamour place in Ghent but we came for a nice traditional dinner and that's what we had. Amazing Waterzooi chicken and a delicious Flamish Prune Rabbit. Plus they have been extremely friendly. All in all highly reccomended.
  • Pascal VM, Mons on 12 Nov 2014

Très bonne soirée dans le cadre de ce restaurant familial et simple. Les plats sont plus que corrects et copieux (re-service pour notre waterzoi). Mention excellente pour le service. Le garçon parle trois langues et vient au devant des attentes.
